Daacraft
The Daacraft company deals with hand-made, luxurious haberdashery manufactured using the highest quality materials and modern techniques in the field of leathercrafting, intended for people who value an exclusive style and individual approach.
About
My task here was to design the visual identification of the Daacraft company. They really wanted a classic design with subdued colors that would fully reflect their world-class quality of products and a professional approach to each client and his requirements.
Process
I started my work with designing a logomark. I wanted it to present Daacraft’s specialization which are products made of leather. For this reason, I decided to use the leather symbol as a base, and then include the letters DC in it, which are derived from the full brand name. This combination allowed to achieve a simple and elegant symbol that is remembered and fully reflects the company’s philosophy. Before I started preparing the artwork, I drew a few possibilities of the logo design on a piece of paper and presented them to the owner of the company. However, we agreed that among all the drawings, the version of the logo presented here meets all the expectations of the owner and fully reflects the company’s values.
The typeface I used for the logo is Baskerville Old Face, due to its “classic serif font nature” which carries a sense of class, trust and respect – values that fully reflect the brand’s philosophy. Serif fonts have a lot to offer in terms of simplicity and elegance and also they are helping to ‘stand out’.
Colors
To achieve an elegant and classic look, I decided to stick to the muted shades. Black and shades of brown are the colors that represent, among other things, seriousness, experience and elegance. They also apply to the materials from which Daacraft products are made.

After presenting the final version of the logo to the owner of the company, I could see the satisfaction on his face from the work I did. He did not hide that at the very beginning of our cooperation, he himself was not sure what exactly he expected from the brand image. He was concerned that this could affect the duration of the project. However, as he himself stated, it was completely different:
“I did not think that starting your own business involves anything more than your own idea and skills. When I realized that I need things like logo, I started asking my friends who helped them with it, because I had no idea how to go about it. One of them recommended Mateusz, who had previously made graphic elements for his website. Cooperation with Mateusz turned out to be a very good move. Everything went very smoothly, Mateusz showed full professionalism, knowledge and he even gave me some advices for the future. I am very pleased with the effect that we managed to achieve, because I believe that it is exactly what I was looking for and I could not find it among other brands working in the same field. I think that this is not the last project we have collaborated on. I also have plans to create a website visualization and I am convinced that Mateusz will be a great choice here as well.”
