About
Recently, I had the opportunity to check out one application on my friend’s device. There was no denying that its interface was extremely unreadable and difficult to use. I started to wonder how I would design such an application myself and I decided to take care of it in my free time. I did not have enough time to conduct detailed usability studies of the application, so I focused on designing the interface itself with similar functions offered by competing applications.
Problem
Due to an unreadable or unclear interface users are often not able to fully use all the functions that the application itself offers or are simply tired of using it and sooner or later they will look for an alternative due to unfulfilled expectations.
Goal
Designing an application dedicated to Android devices with a transparent and easy-to-use interface that will allow users to adjust the settings according to their needs

Wireframes
I started out by drawing the main wireframes on a piece of paper to illustrate the idea and quickly make corrections if needed. It also gave me the opportunity to make sure I didn’t miss anything before setting up the digital wireframes and low fidelity prototype. Below you can see the finished digital wireframe.

Logo
The logo of the application was made of two headsets facing each other. It was added only to add a symbolic visual identification to the project and to maintain the image against other competing applications.

Mockup
The final mockup presents a very clear and easy to use application interface. I conducted a usability study with 5 users in order to obtain opinions and check the comfort of use. In terms of design, interface received a really positive feedback.
The conducted tests also allowed me to notice contradictions in the functionality of the application, which will be taken into account when conducting full research in the near future and updating this project.
